Also I'd point out to this girl that, you and her best friend didn't work out for a reason. The other girl is her best friend, so I'd assume they are fairly similar.

I never understood why somone would want to date a freinds ex, you have so much in common with your friends, so if you and the friend didn't work out, theres no reason this girl would.

If she is a cool girl, and the ex doesn't have a problem with it, you could have a friends with benefits thing going, but otherwise just explain to her that it's not going to work for similar reasons you and the ex didn't.
