Thanks for purchasing an album of yourself laughing, surrounded by other people laughing and me talking.
And I'm glad the postal system is awesome.

Thanks for the testimonial!
You hear that everyone? Holds up after at least three listenings in one day! You know how many that could be total? At least three could mean like 30! (But not much more than 30 in one day, unless you have it going on multiple players at once. Which you can try. Maybe it will sync up like watching the Wizard of Oz while you have the Wizard of Oz playing on another TV nearby.)

I was pondering, not long ago, if i could be getting jaded over stand-up comedy. As a person that gets about every stand-up cd he can get his hands on, i was starting to get tired of repetitive comedy, similar themes to jokes and comedians that seemed clones of each other. Where i used to laugh at many comedians, now just a few bunch of recent comics made really laugh hard and listen to their material repeatedly. Maron, Malley, Dixon, Stanhope. That's it.

Now i add Myq to the list. I love him a lot as a guest of the show. And i can say i love his comedy even more. He's not only hilarious and smart and has a number of incredible punchlines (there's enough good stuff in "Vegan Mind Meld" to fill four sets). He's unique. I cant compare him to any other comedian. He has a delivery, a timing and a style that i never heard before. And also, repeat listening is rewarding. I'm already on my third listening and there's still enough jokes that get me better than the first time.

Get it. Word of a jaded comedy fan who thought he wouldnt laugh anymore.
Sincerely much appreciated, as always, sir.
Thanks for being so jaded in general such that your words can have even more meaning in specific.
No joke.
(You have to buy the album to get jokes now.
Okay, there's one. And a half. Ish. Kind of?)

PS Meant to add this but forgot until right after I forgot.

Click here for my page on Comedy Central, which should have some clips from my special which airs this Friday, and a link to an interview with me about comedy and things. If you like. You're not required to click, you just can if you want.

Thanks for doing and saying that!

If you're still on the fence and were waiting for one more review to read about it before jumping in and getting it, check this one out.

Word of advice. Myq's cd is one of those that will have quote his jokes until your friends and loved ones want to beat you up. So buy a copy for them too and save yourself the constant explanations.

Plus no one tells those jokes with his timing.

"It's poetry to keep drunks alive". I love this man.

Does someone tell them with a different timing?
Or...
Does someone tell... them with a different... timing?

Thanks for the advice!

I really dug the Comedy Central special. The 30 minute slot and the commercials made me pine for the full length DVD.

The word play where the punch line had a double meaning (and both meaning made sense, but for different reasons) were delightful. They scratched my brain in just the right places.

Glad your brain was itchy in the right places!
Thanks for watching and enjoying and pining.
(Though when I release a DVD, it probably won't have commercials... will that be acceptable?)

PS
A girl I went to college with wrote this review of me and my CD.
And a guy who does comedy in Boston did this interview with me.
Also, a guy who writes about comedy in Boston did THIS interview with me.
And a guy who writes about comedy in NY did this one.

Thanks to all of them and everyone.

Just out of curiosity, was the Comedy Central special heavily edited? They're doing that a lot lately. Rogan's special as it was aired and how it is on cd are completely different, even if they were recorded the same night...

Hopes for a dvd.

Weird coincidence: Myq and Posehn have realeased cd's the same day (Myq is a milion times better. Posehn is funny, but he oveplays the "i'm a dork" thing too much) and they both have the sentence "I spend a lot of time on the computer. Look at me."

Small world

(I spend a lot of time on the computer too.)
