My iRiver will always hold a special place in my heart.
It's actually still floating around here somewhere. Had it since 2003. |

I sadly, finally, wore out my IRiver a few months ago. The triangular prism 2 gig version. Wish I could get another one.
But I'm using an 8 gig flash drive IPod now. Getting used to it. I pretty much only use it for podcasts. Last edited by Cart Horse; 08-26-2010 at 05:07 AM. |

Never had one myself but I heard good things about the SanDisk players but it looks like that doesn't satisfy your size requirements
http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Sansa-View-Video-Player I had a bigger version of this one quite a few years back but it looks like they don't make them any more http://www.amazon.com/RCA-Lyra |

Before you do anything you should wait for the announcement of the new iPods on Wednesday. Apple probably won't announce the super device that does everything you want, but if they did it would really suck if you had just bought a new MP3 player two days before.

I decided to pick up one of the newer Zune 120's used. I found a guy who's offering a good price. Seems to be my only option and I'm hoping my old hardware, combined with the early software's shittiness, was the cause of all my problems for the last 2 years. No one else here has a Zune? |

Have you ever looked at Archos players, their current line of them doesn't seem to have the capacity you are looking for but maybe an older one, I have a friend who swears by them. There are several on e-bay.
