Not true. I live in California, and my roommate and I each pay $400 for a 3/brm flat, that's in a nice part of town, and is up to date on ammenities, etc.

I'm not entirely sure about NY, but it could be fairly possible for him to find a flat for (his share) being $500, wouldn't it? It would probably be a piece of crap, and not in the best part of NY, but possible, aye?

About what one looks like (Newsy's post) : That's a given. And not in a sexual/attractive meaning. If you look like a filthy retarded slob, there's not much you can do...

About Drac's post: Yes it could be possible, but it will be very hard. But he said he needs a room, so that could work. Lots of roommates, not a deluxe part of the city, and it could work. For an apartment, it's very difficult.
