Hope everyone is ok! I've got quite a few friends who have been evacuated now. I've started packing up essentials that can't be replaced in case things get worse.

My love to everyone affected.

So, JUST got the power back on after a couple of days. The floods came close to us (end of our street for example), but we didn't get hit. We are pretty much cut off from everywhere. Neither of us know when we'll get back to work, everything in the city is still shutdown. Surreal and weird and really sad.

attached a few pics from directly around our place.

This is the busstop near our place:

Just got my power back a few hours ago. I was in a similiar situation to you, it flooded my suburb but my house was ok aside from being cut off by flood waters.

The flood water is is rank and has stained everything it covered, all the oil from the petrol stations that went under are mixed in with it and leave a layer of scum on everything.

On the second day we got a generator running so it wasnt so bad after that.

Clad to hear you two come through alright, though now it seems flash floods are hitting victoria and other places internationally.

EDIT: just checked my email... farkkkkk

Mate of mine just had to evacuate the other day. And not even a week after he brought his newborn son home from the hospital too. Haven't heard from him since the evac, hope he and his family are doing OK..
