I enjoy the hell out of whipping up some kick ass home cooking and I'm always looking for some recipes to try out. So lets swap!
PS looking to make something with the hodgepodge of shit you have in your pantry Search for Recipes by Ingredient - Recipe Puppy is fucking kick ass, list what you have and it finds recipes for you My first recipe in honor of summer time Soy Pineapple Chicken Kabob 1 (15 1/4 oz.) can pineapple chunks 1/2 c. soy sauce 1/3 c. sugar 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 tsp. ground ginger 5 chicken breast halves, skinned, boned, and cut into 1-inch cubes 1 green pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces 1 Package Mushrooms 1 Canned Potato 1 package baby tomato if desired 1 Onion Sliced Drain pineapple, reserving 1/3 cup juice. Set pineapple aide. Combine pineapple juice, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, and ginger in a dish; mix. Add chicken; cover and marinate in refrigerator 1 hour, turning occasionally. Remove chicken from marinade, reserving marinade. Alternate chicken, green pepper, and pineapple, tomato, mushroom, onion and potato on skewers (I find cooking meat and potato separate from other veggies to be better. They take longer to cook.. grill over hot coals for 20minutes or until done, turning and basting frequently with marinade. ![]()

I have been praying for a thread like this! Lemme find some good recipes first!
Here's my teriyaki recipe for the delicious and tangy sauce! 1.5 cu. soy sauce 1 cu. water 1 cu. brown sugar 1 T. honey 1 T. ginger, minced 1 T. garlic, pressed boil then reduce to desired consistency! |

I love chicken pot pie, so I make a hearty chicken pot pie soup. The crust is tedious.
Fry onions, celery, carrots in half a stick of butter. Then add chicken and the other half stick of butter. Add chicken and/or vegetable stock, parsley and thyme. Add optional peas, corn, mushrooms. Normally I add a few cans of Cream of Mushroom soup here, but you can use heavy cream at the end instead. Boil and let simmer for a while. I'm bad at writing recipes. |

I will find some and post them. I have some really fatty foods that I love but can't make anymore due to my weight loss. One that I really liked was lemon pepper chicken.
3 boneless chicken breasts lemon pepper seasoning (Tones is the best brand for this recipe) Veggie oil (enough to coat the bottom of the pan) Steamed rice Cut chicken into pieces Heat oil on med in skillet Put chicken in skillet Sprinkle with desired amount of lemon pepper Cook until done (peices of chicken easily come apart when smooshed) Put chicken over steamed rice and enjoy! Homeade recipe so I don't have exact increments If more country home town recipes are desired then I will post more. But this is the healthiest I've created.

Black Bean and Corn salsa.
1 can of black beans 1 bag of frozen corn 0.5 red onion 4-5 cloves of garlic Olive Oil to taste Salt to taste Drain and rinse beans. Thaw corn in microwave. Dice onions and garlic. Combine, oil and salt to taste. Eat. Tastes great w/ grilled chicken tacos. |

I present to you, chicken francaise
This one is fucking aces.
* 4 large skinless boneless chicken breast halves (2 pounds total) * 1/2 cup vegetable oil * 1 cup all-purpose flour * 3/4 teaspoon salt * 1/2 teaspoon black pepper * 3 large eggs * 1/2 stick (1/4 cup) unsalted butter * 1/2 cup dry white wine * 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth * 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice plus 1 whole lemon, thinly sliced * 1/4 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley Preparation Place chicken breasts between 2 sheets of plastic wrap and gently pound chicken with flat side of a meat pounder or with a rolling pin until 1/4 inch thick. Heat oil in a 12-inch heavy skillet over moderate heat until hot but not smoking. While oil is heating, stir together flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper in a shallow bowl. Dredge 2 pieces of chicken, 1 piece at a time, in flour mixture, shaking off excess. Lightly beat eggs in another shallow bowl. When oil is hot, dip floured chicken into beaten eggs to coat, letting excess drip off, then fry, turning over once, until golden brown and just cooked through, about 4 minutes total. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels and keep warm, loosely covered with foil. Fry remaining chicken in same manner. Pour off and discard oil, then wipe skillet clean and heat butter over low heat until foam subsides. Add wine, broth, and lemon juice and boil, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until sauce is reduced to about 1/2 cup, about 6 minutes. Stir in parsley and remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Spoon sauce over chicken and top with lemon slices. |

This is really easy to make and everyone always raves over it.
1 jar peppercino peppers 1 roast 3-4lbs Crock Pot Get a jar of peppercino peppers. Recipe calls for 8oz per roast, I use 16oz. Chop them up, and dump the peppers and juice into a crock pot with a whole roast, don't even cut it up. Let it cook 12 hours on high or 24 hours on low. Roast will fall apart with forks, cook in it own juices and peper juice. Great taste, spicy shredded beef, serve on hamburger buns. Great for hosting game days. |

Also in celebration of summer, an easy common recipe
Gucamole In a food processor chop up some tomatillos, onion, and garlic. Add salt and pepper, and saute it until the onions begin to turn translucent. While they're all cooking, peel and scoop out some avocado and run it through the food processor to mash it up, unless you wanna do it yourself. Combine the two together, squeeze in some fresh lime, and eat with freaking everything ![]() I tend to use two avocados to three tomatillos, if there is more of the tomatillo/onion mixture the guacamole will be too watery so adjust accordingly .
