Running Drunk
Ever do it? I am a bottle of wine and 4 bud lights in.... wondering if going for a run (moderately healthy) is a good idea... I currently run 30+ miles a week, but somehow i feel odd about going for arun drunk, yet I want to... thoughts?

It was fine. I ranm 5 miles (my normal run) If I did it again, the ipod battery would not have run out AND iwould've only done 3 miles. It was fun though

When I was in ROTC in college I remember several times going straight from an all night party to PT. The daily dozen plus a run is a great way to sober up. Then a delicious big breakfast!

Not really, really...but I DO plan a lot of workouts when I'm drunk. The night before days off I ALWAYS plan to take my dog to run a 5k....basically ever week.
And it's the only time in my life I ever really attempt crazy yoga poses and headstands, front walkovers and handsprings...my husband has the pictures to prove it. Then I wake up at 10am wishing I was dead and regretting every dumb thing from the night before. |

I wouldn't recommend it if you are already hammered. Drinking as you go is much more fun.
Planning on participating in a beer mile in November. Run a mile as fast as you can downing a beer at the start and each quarter mile. Penalty lap for puking! Should be a challenge. |
