Shooting a Bullet vs. Throwing One

So I was thinking about Costaki's comment about how the male sex drive is like shooting a bullet and the female sex drive is like throwing it.

I thought I'd poll the KATG audience to see what you guys think of it.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I have to say that I feel like I'm on the bullet shooting side of that equation more times than even some of my guy friends.

I think the real difference is that women aren't allowed to indicate that they have a sex drive while men are taught that they have to demonstrate it or risk being a sissy.

I am not in a relationship, and I don't have friends with benefits in my life right now. I rarely masturbate - maybe once every week or two weeks if I'm lucky. I'm just not feeling it right now. Maybe I'm not even throwing a bullet as much as blowing on it to try and get it to roll.

I think you misunderstood the poll, it's
shooting a bullet = regular sex drive
throwing a bullet as fast as a gun would shoot it = super sex drive.

Huh, I took that joke to mean the opposite. According to the joke, men's normal sex drives are so strong it's like shooting a bullet out of a gun. Whereas the stereotypical idea for a woman's sex drive is that it's much less urgent, therefore only the much slower speed of someone throwing the bullet.

I go back and forth. Sometimes I want it all the time every single day. Sometimes I don't. Hormonal thing that goes along with my "cycle," I'm guessing. Men do have an ebb and flow to their testosterone levels but I don't know if it's as dramatic as our hormonal changes.
