Soldiers etc

I know there are a few soldiers on here so i wanted to bring their attention, and others, to a blog a friend of mine has set up. He is due to be deployed to Baghdad in 4 weeks and has set up a blog for him and other soldiers to use as a way of putting their story forward.

Please check it out at www.bootsontheground.org and see what you think. At the moment a lot of material on there is just views and some clips of his training but he is taking a lot of equipment with him to cover the war from his own perspective.

He is very dear to me and although I have had anti-war views in the past I very much believe that what he and other American and friendly forces are doing is right and for that I thank him.

Personally, i do not agree with soldier blogs, cause they only state there opinion on things, and in all honestesty, no one really cares what a Private or someone with no Army experience has to say. They usually step outside of the line, and in no way are they in the position to state an opinion on an Operation, or deployment. We(Soldiers) know that it sucks to be away from home, and we know that its hot as hell in Iraq.

Its a volunteer Army, you can not bitch about something you volunteer for. Especially if you join the Marines or Army, cause you will go live in Iraq for a short period of time in life.

And i dont want to read something a whiney Soldier has written.

So I dont
