I think a lot of people are saying that Mal is the dreamer of what's going on in the movie, and she "Inceptioned" the idea to do everything that happens in the movie in Cobb.

Yeah, I don't buy Mal being the Inceptioneer, cause in that case everything in the movie is a dream...and that's like the #1 cop out "revelation" in literature/film.

Sure, in this movie, it's much more convoluted and requires more "thinking" to achieve, but essentially it's still a cop out.

Agreed. I just like that some people are at least on the otherside. Lets me know the film was worth more than the 2 hrs I spent in there.

I'm probably seeing this again today. I'm excited.

..except that it doesn't take into consideration how old-man-limbo Seito appears at the very beginning of the movie, during the job before which Cobb meets Ariande for the first time. If the whole movie was an inception on Cobb, by Ariande, then how would her memory have been able to create him (Seito) in the first place?

I just think that the first part of the movie seeing old Seito was a basically to tickle peoples ass with a feather and then flash back and wonder how Leo(Cob) got there and then see the story through to that point. A lot Off movies have done this tactic before for instance, Fight Club starts with Norton with a gun to the face and then you watch how he got there.

In my mind, the whole thing was real.
The real question is at the end. Did Seito kill Cobb or keep him in Limbo.
If he did kill him then it's all real, but if he didn't he never really woke up on the plane and that is apart of his dream.

Knowing one from the other is knowing whethere the totom fell or not - which is why you don't know.

Personally I think he is in Limbo. The kids are the exact same age and wearing the exact same clothes as in his original memory.

for me, the best part of the movie was the moment the credits appeared and some dude in the theater stood up in his seat, grabbed his head, and yelled, "DUDE!!!"
