Slampokes, your research sounds really interesting and important, and I so admire your passion and dedication. I wish I'd found my own passion at your age. And I really wish I wasn't a grad student myself and living partially on loans-- I would love to be able to help you out.

If I send you my email address, will you send me your thesis proposal? As a fellow social justice junkie, I just want to read it. But also, there's a chance I can think of some generous benefactors to forward it to, who might be able to help.
