I always found the subject of Open source politics interesting.

I havent dug in it with enough dept to have a definitive opinion.

But i have a main problem with it, mostly: it seems based on the idea that the "people" who would contribute to the decision of the government are rational.

I consider the "people" as mostly irrational, self destructive and unable to make productive decisions.

This stuff still happens in America, not some far away country. It's amazing that this stuff really can go on, that the man was never charged but it wasn't something good Christians do to each other and the best solution is that she just forgive the guy...

It happens in many countries, mostly in places where the church is the centre of the community and the religious authority is more important than the non-religious one.

I think the state should go, for once, against the popular opinion and act to punish a bishop who abuses his position.

People should trust the State first, and only involve the state in matters like sexual abuse. Bishop are there to handle spiritual matters ONLY.
