I am right into New York band Swear and Shake currently. They've just released their debut album 'Maple Ridge' and they've two singles from it up on the Tube 'These White Walls' and 'The Light'

The Ocean - Anthropocentric

I saw these guys on Sunday and they were fucking amazing. I went alone and I'm glad I did, was able to really get into it without fear of judgement for moving to the music. I had a sore neck the next day

The album is critique on Fundamentalist Christianity and Creationism. I don't like lyrics that much but this really gets into some cool ideas and points out a lot of hypocrisies; all in a fun yelling manner! But the singer has a great singing voice too which gives a nice balance as too much of this Isis-type delivery can get a bit monotonous.

The Ocean - Anthropocentric

Lyrics to the album:

Makes me want to read the books it is references, but if I don't believe in this shit why do I need to reiterate it?

I heard this song inside of a Forever 21 (they actually have good menswear). The song got stuck in my head. It's trippy as hell.

Twelve Foot Ninja

Think Mike Patton vocals, metal, acousticy, reggae & dub-step infused awesome dance music.

Love it. Then again, I love most things trippy as hell.

Regina Spektor has claimed my brain this week, particularly this one:

Her coming out with Fantasea makes me remember how much I love this song. Especially for reminding me what my fav word is.
AZEALIA BANKS - 212 FT. LAZY JAY - YouTube

I loved Magic Mike for a great many selfish reasons but also because it made me aware of this song.
Win Win - Victim (ft. Blaqstarr) - YouTube

I haven't heard that song in a minute. She's got such a unique and gorgeous voice.

I came across this song after watching Breaking Bad.
