This is a pretty high-level crash course, but should get you started in the right direction:

First, you need a newsgroup account. I personally recommend Giganews ( Usenet Newsgroups Service, News Servers, Usenet Access - Giganews ) although there are others out there.

From here it's pretty straightforward. Find what you want on Newzleech. Place a check box next to it. Click "Get NZB". This will download an NZB file to your desktop/whereever. Double click it, GrabIt! will open and begin downloading.

Like I said, this is a super-deluxe crash course.

Check out hellanzb and hellavcr. It will automatically grab your latest TV shows as they are posted.

I got the same email from cablevision for downloading True Blood episode 3. Screw that, I am not gonna stop downloading it. I just got peergaurdian and its not a problem anymore. I also got an email for downloading The Last Samurai years ago, nothing happened.

I pay for HBO, but download the episodes because I do not have a way to get them from DVR to my ipod. I do not use torrents, is usenet better or safer than rapidshare?

Depends on a lot.

There is a certain amount of anonymity that goes along with Rapidshare, but the trail can be easier to backtrack at the ISP level.

6 of one, 1/2 dozen of the other.

Typically though, the "source" for this material originates in Newsgroups where it is then repacked/redistributed to torrent trackers and rapidshit.

OK, after doing further investigation, I realize that newsgroups is the best approach for HBO shows now.

I need to find out how to get these episodes of true blood from a newsgroup now. Need to find some kind of newsgroups for dummies guide cause I am totally new to that

Alright, so how about a free newsgroup account service? Is this the same thing as FTP? Because my friend gave me some free space for a website, does that work? This shit is foreign to me, sorry.
