Ultimate Nerd Voice, also, need some PC help
I have a google re-direct virus and i'm trying to remove it to no avail. came across this video and i thought for a second that maybe Keith had planted it as a gag or something. go to the middle of the video to get the full effect.
also, any tech savvy people have any clue how to get rid of this thing? Its fucking killing me. |

How to record Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 to an USB device and boot my computer from it?
That is a link to a instructions on how to make a USB (or DVD, if you just burn the .iso to it) that your computer can boot an antivirus program from. Redirects and TDSSes tend to come with shit that burrows into your OS and prevents you from removing them, so it's very difficult to remove them from within your own OS. I'd say one sweep from the Kaspersky DVD and then run some shit like Malwarebyte's and you'll be set. Once your system is clean (and not before), I would also reset to a system restore point created before the infection (I believe Vista and 7 create restore points automatically) because it probably mucked up your registry and that can be a headache. |

Porn. And then the other 10% of the time it's shady sites that you probably shouldn't be on in the first place. Like web proxies, or pirate sites, or whatever.
If you use some realtime protection like Avast! you can go anywhere and pretty much never have to worry about viruses. That's really the best solution, because it can take seconds for a TDSS to fuck up your shit, and hours to set things right again. So not getting them in the first place saves such a headache. |

Thanks for the help, I'll see if this works. I use my business class internet at work to DL music, always from demonoid, but it must have been that odd Art Blakey torrent that I had to go somewhere else for. Damn my jazz addiction!
