I used super, didnt convert it, wrong file type. I also downloaded mpeg streamclip, and was working fine til it said I had to purchase "mpeg 2" for quicktime. googled the torrent, and couldnt find one for PC. then tried handbrake, but there is no video ts folder, so wouldn't work. anymore ideas?

I'm not sure, as its not my camera, but when i chose to put it on pc, it asked me to finalize it. lol, sorry if I'm not being very helpful, its just I have no clue about codecs, and this stupid disc is pissing me off.

The other suggestion was Ulead 8SE could handle the file type.

tried to download media coder, but google chrome said it was a damaged file, and wouldnt let me.

retried mpeg streamclip 2 (?), and it worked! sweet, thanks guys for all your help. again the katg fans have risen above and beyond. sweet

If you're into stealing then Canopus Procoder can turn anything into anything (ponies into unicorns and whatnot.) If you're not into stealing and you're brave ffmpeg has pretty strong transcoding kung fu.

rule of thumb, when buying recording equipment, be it audio, video, photos, dont buy sony, they like to push they're own formats, they're own hardware, and it just makes for a hard time to do something simple plus sony is always more expesive just bc of the name
