What, camera equipment as in a tripod? Why bother stealing a loose tripod when there's a perfectly good anchored stereo system sitting there just waiting for you to rip it out. Guess they didn't want to fuck with the glove compartment to see what other goodies were in there (The camera, maybe some emergency cash?). Thieves are stupid.

thankfully the only camera equipment i had in the car was a cheap ass tripod. my cameras never stay in my car unattended. having said that though, i think he (assuming it's a he) walked up to my car just to get a radio and split because he didn't take anything else. there were cd's laying there and everything. he probably got spooked, did the job quick and left.
