I buy the kids a few gifts, a movie, some hot wheel, and a bedtime book

My daughter is old enough to open presents, so a book and a doll are on the list.

Do you buy the clothes? And if so, are you good with sizes and styles? My husband used to try, but clothes are one thing he can't get right (all his other gifts are spot on). Used to be he'd pick the right size, but they'd be too slutty for working in law firms. He finally stopped buying clothes for me. AllClad, Le Creuset and the fancier cookware is always a fun indulgence (for me anyway).

I dunno...it is hard without knowing them personally (but I love trying to figure it out).

Last year, I knew what her favorite store was, and now it has changed to Banana Republic, and I know her size. If I buy anything there I make myself look good.

did you watch the video! is it not the coolest thing ever? maybe it's no big deal to people who aren't as into skronky noise music as i am, but the thingamagoop is to me what the tickle me elmo is to most kids

looks as if there is a shortage though, and that they won't be able to ship any that would make it here before xmas
