What do we do now?

Just curious how the listeners feel about buying a relationship book from people who can't maintain their own relationship...

If you can maintain a successful relationship that was good, healthy, fun...while running a business together, pretty much spending most of every single day together...for as long as Keith and Chemda did.

You have just as much right as anyone to write a relationship book.
I've bought two copies....they're great, good advice, some hilarious passages.

And if I weren't a broke college student I'd probably buy more copies as gifts for some friends.

IMHO, this is a ridiculous question. Would you not buy a book about whales because it wasn't written by a whale? Do you know the personal history of every author you read?

Come on man, there is so much more in the world to fret about than this. Where is the love?

Who's to say that a relationship that doensn't last forever doesn't count at all? How many couples do you even know that lasted as long as they did? Five or six years is impressive enough, and theirs is probably one of the best relationships I have ever seen. Just because they broke up in the end doesn't change everything.

I actually think it is a legitimate question. The premise of the book was based the assumption that they could give relationship advice because they had a good one going. Hence the "no-separating" clause in the contract. Just because one supports Keith and Chemda doesn't necessarily mean that one shoudn't be allowed to question or doubt their credentials in areas where they might purport to be proficient in, but possibly aren't. (And by proficient I don't mean Jesse Joyce proficient.)

None of my business. The book is a fun read and the majority of it coincides with my perspective.

I read the book and it was funny, but I wouldn't follow it for relationship advice. It was comedy for me. The two couples I gave it to broke up. One of those was a female friend I wanted to be single, so it was good for something.
