What I did today

Woke up at 8am, ate breakfast, played computer games and watched tv, got dressed, volunteered at our senior center (served beverages, wiped off tables and called bingo) 11:30 - 1:30, did some shopping, changed oil in lawnmower, mowed our yard, took clippings to dump, showered, ate supper, played my sax at band practice 7 - 9 and here I am.

What did you do today?

Today is only just starting, but yesterday:
  • Woke up at 7, got ready an went to work
  • Got to work a little before 9
  • Walked down to the coffee shop to get a decaf latte and a croissant
  • While I was at work I applied for a couple of jobs. (on my official breaks, of course.)
  • Got my picture taken for our new employee ID badges
  • Got trained on a new program
  • Left work late. Got 15 minutes of overtime during which I was not able to do what I got the overtime for, because I was talking about why I got the overtime for the thing I got overtime for. (When HR told me that nothing would change about the way I do my job when they switched me from salary to hourly, they fucking lied. This is shit and I feel like a child)
  • Drove over to my friends house, tried to avoid a major traffic accident and got lost with about 15 other cars on a narrow dead end street. Thankfully a random old man in an orange vest helped us all navigate the clusterfuck. I'm pretty sure he just happened to own an orange vest.
  • Ate delicious homemade quiche and talked to my friends
  • Went over to my 12 step meeting, and did my literature commitment.
  • Sat in my friends parking garage and talked about stress and work and job search and stuff for awhile.
  • Drove home
  • Got a new theme for my blog. My boyfriend helped me sort out some bugs.
  • Got ready for bed, and went to sleep with my awesome boyfriend. We fell asleep talking about work stress. That's basically all I talk about right now.

10:15 start work
11:00-11:30 catch up on facebook/forums
12-1 Lunch
1-1:30 Meeting
1:30-2 catch up on facebook/forums
2-2:30 Meeting
2:30-3:00 Draw Something + Scramble in the bathroom
3-3:30 catch up on facebook/forums
4-4:30 catch up on facebook/forums
5-5:30 catch up on facebook/forums
6 leave work
6:30-9:30 fencing
9:30-12 beer+Internet+Netflix

1:00 am "I should really go to bed now otherwise I won't be productive tomorrow"
3:00 actually fall asleep
8:30am mild non crazy alarm - SNOOZE
9:00am second try at waking up, check iphone for twitter/facebook/news in bed
9:15am second backup CRAZY LOUD alarm - shower
10:15ish show up at work and praise my luck to have a job with flexible hours
- check email, phone conferences , procrastination, plan for KATG week backup, make powerpoints look pretty and hopefully make clients wanna pay for shit, solve silly client problems, ... bla bla bla
6:00pm leave work early to attend goodbye dinner for former boss
0:15am hahjeez is it so late already and why I am awake still???

woke up around 9,
determined my body fat percentage, like a nerd who also likes fitness
had breakfast
Worked out
Did some cleaning for an hour (dishes, laundry)
did some research for a project
Had lunch
did some more research
Took my 15 year old to his girlfriend's house
picked up a bottle of chocolate red wine
had dinner
am currently doing more research while drinking red wine that tastes like tootsie rolls.

Woke up at 3am because I have a cold and couldn't return to sleep
Read for about an hour
Fell asleep
Woke up at 11am
Breakfast at noon (cottage cheese, cheerios, peaches = delicious)
Gym at 3pm, worked out arms and a reduced amount of legs (doing squats while in this sickness would have been insanely strenuous)
Collected $10 from a bet I made with a friend on who could reach 170lbs first (I beat him by A MILE)
Went to the park at 4:30pm and played handball until 7pm. Won every game I played
Showered, ate dinner, posted in this thread

7:30 AM - First Alarm
8:00 AM - Actually woke up
8:05 AM - Showered and shaved
8:25 AM - Checked the internets
8:30 AM - Made a sandwich and bagel
8:35 AM - Left for work
8:50 AM - Arrived at work
9:00 AM - Sat in a group meeting/discusson
9:30 AM - Talked shit about the horrible "spicy eggnog" coffee to co-workers and mentioned how it tastes like pixie stix and steak seasoning
9:35 AM - Asked a guy in the office about what motorcycles would be good for me
9:45 AM - Actually sit down to work while listening to music
9:45 AM to 11:30 - Boss is in a meeting with IRS agent, did shit work (data fixes) and occasionally talked shit with co-workers. Complained that one didn't offer me grapes like he did yesterday. Got called "smarmy" for this in a joking way. He did offer me peppermint tea today, but fuck that. He also likes the spicy eggnog coffee
11:30 AM - Boss is out of meeting. Time to focus a bit more on shit work.
1:30 PM - Go to lunch in the lunch room. Co-worker talks about how the sandwiches I and another guy make always look so good. My sandwiches always have tons of vegetables and other toppings. His was just meat, cheese, and a bunch of seasonings. I felt like my sandwich was way better but had to stay humble. Talk shit about how the same co-worker who complemented our sandwiches eats like garbage (everything out of a can).
1:45 PM - Conversation turns to more shit talking, jokingly accusing can food-eater of being high.
2:00 PM - Back to work, this time on more interesting stuff, leaving more shit work for tomorrow.
5:00 PM - Time to leave, but so close to finishing a project.
5:10 PM - Give up on the project and drive home.
5:30 PM - Look up motorcycles on craigslist as I do everyday, everything is shit. Eat Doritos. Read websites.
7:00 PM - Decide to take a nap.
9:00 PM - Wake up from nap, look at the internet again.
9:15 PM - End up on KATG forums writing this.


I talk a lot of shit throughout the day.

I eat meat and cheese sandwiches when I have a bad day and need comfort food. Vegetables should always be on sandwiches otherwise. This isn't an elementary school picnic!
