I just watched this last night. I almost fell asleep like six times if not for that godawful music. Fuck this movie.

I've been watching The Punisher since 1989 when I thought douchebags like Jon Claude van damme and Dolphin Lundgren were serious actors. NOONE has nailed the Character as well as Jon Bernthal!!!

Granted. The Punisher really is as simple as an ex marine, fueled solely by rage, murdering people...but Bernthal does it, oh so well. Marvel did a great job with this character in Daredevil. Hope they don't fuck it up. We're witnessing a slight slip in quality, in the MCU.

Whatever fucking assholes made Suburbricon need to watch this movie, after they take their heads out their asses. This movie is able to tell a tale of racial tension in a small town, outwardly shitty people who are ok deep down, small minded country folk and the lies they tell to protect shameful town secrets and the main plot without shoving it into your face with terrible, contrasting scenes that have nothing to do with each other.
This movie is a fucking master piece, Same Rockwell is fantastic as always and I think it's time we acknowledged Woody Allen has surpassed Tom Hanks as America's acting treasure. I honestly don't think he was even trying his best and he was still fucking brilliant in this.
Go laugh and cry
