The Unborn. Meh. A lot of spoonfeeding of the story and everything seems really rushed and thrown together... had some cool horror elements to it, but overall it wasn't good.

Yeah Requiem for a Dream is one of those movies that leaves you feeling like shit. Another movie with a similar affect, though due to completely different reasons, is Nothing but Trouble. This may be one of the worst movies I have ever seen and it just takes a little something away from you each time you watch it (which for some reason I continue to do). Seriously, if you can sit through the entire thing you'll notice that your life has gotten worse.

I think this movie is the reason John Candy died young. Fuck you Dan Aykroyd!

I dunno, maybe I'm fucked, but I like movies like these, although it does leave me in a weird state for some time afterwards

FUCK YEAH SPANISH FILM FESTIVAL!

Corazón del Tiempo (Heart of Time)
A well made film that meandered a little but realistically so. Not really my thing, I don't want to be too harsh on it. I met the director and he was very interesting and passionate about the film and what it explores.

Dioses
Rich and fucked up people being rich and fucked up, entertaining little film with some good performances.

Leaving Las Vegas (1995)

When you talk about fucked up depressing movies you can't forget this one! The premise of this movie is Nicolas Cage is an alcoholic and his life is shit, so he decides he'll go to Las Vegas and drink himself to death literally. Yaaaay!

Oh God no. Nothing but Trouble isn't a fucked up movie like Requiem. The events in the film are not depressing, it's just a shitty fucking piece of garbage. But once you've seen it and it comes on TV you're stuck because you'll say to yourself "God I hate this movie, but I have to see the two fat baby mutant guys and the roller coaster...oh shit and don't forget Digital Underground's cameo, gotta see that part." Next thing you know you've watched the whole fucking thing again and it's shittier than you remembered. And unlike regular crappy movies, this one takes a chunk of your soul. I don't know how and I don't know why, but it does. It's very depressing for unknown reasons.

EDIT: I just realized the movie is responsible for another death, Tupac Shakur's. There you go, mystery solved...Nothing but Trouble killed Tupac.

I IMDBed it and in the advisory content section there is
"Very intense rape scene."
Always means a winner
