The Fountain. MEH. After I watched it, i went and read a billion posts on amazon of people saying "you just didn't get it. stick to adam sandler movies.etc.etc." to the people who didn't like this movie. The assholery of the fans of this sleepy movie made me dislike it even more. It was meh. Glad I didn't see it in theaters though i bet it would've looked even prettier on a big screen.
Wishmaster 3 comes tomorrow. #2 was actually better than the first in it's "this is hilarious" and "what utter bullshit; that's so corny" ratings so I'm excited.

amazing, love this flick. Great filmmaking, great writing. It's a bit clockwork orange in it's choice of words during dialogue but somehow it works, the entire weird world they created in this flick works. Loved it.

Donnie Darko
Rewatch, first time since I first watched it when I was like 12. Made far more sense. A few scenes really land on me but overall I still don't get the end.. the movie does have something though, I like it, one of those movies I'll rewatch every few years.

Not be one of those people but it's one of my favourite movies. I love it, but it's not for everyone (and I don't mean it like that).

Notorious: very very very meh. My GF is a biggie fan, so she really wanted to see this. Apparently they changed a lot of details, and made the story a flat, cookie cutter biopic. Some scenes are very well filmed, but still... Meh.

i guess if there's a good real story, a well done documentary is always the best thing to watch. I dont really care about hip-hop but the tupac doc was pretty good...

Troll 2!

I don't think I could have withstood how horrible that movie was without the Rifftrax to accompany it.

great acting, very believable. anyone who liked wrestling as a kid should see this. annnd ya some good touching moments. Mickey is great. also, Marissa Tomea (sp?) is a topless stripper

anyways, i found a cool video of wrestlers from the 80's talking about the movie

Bright Future

I picked this up because Tadanobu Asano is one of my favourite actors as I've heard a lot about director Kiyoshi Kurosawa. It's a very strange film and I suspect it'll put off a lot of people but those who stick with it will discover an enigmatic, deliberately paced movie with beautiful imagery and surprising range.

Wolverine

Just bloody awful, a waste of actors and characters alike. I actually preferred the workprint - at least seeing the wires and greenscreen was interesting.

In The Loop

Yes, it's very similar to it's parent tv show but that just means it's an extremely funny political farce with precision-targeted writing, injected with just the right amount of venom.
