Revolver

How I missed this film, given my love for "Lock, Stock..", is beyond me.

Seriously awesome.

BTW, Ray Liotta is the man. If I had 1/10th of his intensity, I'd be a pumpstud.

Carrie 2002 - i only wish it was in widescreen. it was made for tv. i liked it a lot actually, even with some the cheap special effects in the begining.

As far as I could tell they weren't trying to be funny. AND Gary Oldman might work as a dwarf if he's the only little person in the movie, but surround him with a bunch of honest-to-god dwarfs and it's impossible to believe that he's not just a guy on his knees.
A guy on his knees with a hump.
I'd been meaning to watch it for ages cause, c'mon, Oldman as a midget, and katg reminded me about it. Now i'm sad i ever bothered.
And I love how they had the porn star midget play, guess what, a whore. Talk about getting typecast.

I watched Bang Bang Your Dead last night. Neither of us can remember why this was on our list to begin with (I think one of us confused it with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang..?) but it was a bit better than 'okay'. The retard from Freaks & Geeks (and Angel in the x-men movies) plays a kid on the fringe in high school. He kind of hangs out with the loser trechcoat mafia types but he's not one of them. Constantly getting picked on, shit escalates into what you'd expect and its also based on a play by the same name (or based on the story of a play?) and it feels very after-school-special. Not terrible though.
Up next between the two of us: Hancock, Stranger Than Fiction (love it), WishMaster 3 & 4, A Night At the Opera, Patton Oswald: Werewolves & Lollipops (is this the one with the naked Sharon Stone bit? I think I may have seen this..) & Marie Antoinette.
We're trying to save money by staying in for the next week & 1/2 so i expect lots of movie watching.

Tormented

I knew almost nothing about this going in and I was pleasantly surprised; it's a well-made horror-comedy that's a cut above the average British movies in it's genre.

Star Trek

Second time seeing this in IMAX, felt much the same as the first.
