Also, don't take this the wrong way, but Americans who assume the whole world = their little part of it. I'm constantly explaining to surprised Americans that I don't live in their time zone/season. And cultural norms/rules/laws are not universal...think about it before you judge. And yes, I have a funny accent, I geddit it, let's move on! But that one is more amusing than a peeve

I hate it when my people come round to my house and leave their shoes in the middle of the doorway for people to trip over. My partner does it too but at least she lives here - how rude is it to do that when you are a guest! My partner's Mum was round the other day and left her massive ogre sized jandals smack bang in the middle of the kitchen - I wanted to pick em up and belt her over the head with them but they were too huge and heavy so I couldn't lift them!

I also hate it when my partner uses the last piece of dunny paper on the roll holder and doesn't put a new one on. How hard is it???

Writing this post has enraged me all over again thanks a lot!

Most of my pet peeves have come from my the past year and a half living with different roommates.

-People who leave dishes in the sink and allowing a pile to accumulate before washing.
-People who drink/eat your shit without having the decency to ask (cause you know, I'd probably never say no if you did.)
-People leaving lights on that are completely unnecessary
-People who use improper grammar/slang not for kicks but out of ignorance.
-Being closeminded in relation to anything, just stop.
-People who don't look at you when you're talking.
-Excessive amounts of pride.
-Humorless people, or people who don't get my humor.
-Dim people.
-People who like to talk about the nutritional value (or lack thereof) of everything. SHUT THE FUCK UP, let me enjoy my Coke!
-People who own cell phones, for no reason, since they never answer a call.

I can usually only glance a bit at a person before I feel like I'm staring and look away. And I own a cellphone to make calls, not receive them.

more pet peeves!

-College drivers
-All drivers who can't fucking drive, never use turn signals, randomly hit their breaks, cut in front of you, people who drive slow, so you pass them, but as you try to pass them they THEN decide to speed up...just to later go slow...they don't want to get anywhere quicker, but THEY'LL BE DAMNED if you do!
-People who call you several times in a row, when you don't answer. Like seriously, if for whatever reason I couldn't answer your call the first time, what makes you think I can 5 seconds, 50 seconds, a minute, and 2 minutes later? LET ME CALL YOU BACK YOU IMPATIENT TWAT!
