Where should guys get their hair cut?

I tried asking this question too the international brain trust that is Yahoo! answers but didn't really get anything useful, so I figured why not ask here? Might as well try and show you people that I'm trying to improve myself.

For the longest time I would only get my hair cut at a barber, it was a personal policy to only go to places that had that little spinny strippey red white and blue thing at the front beacuse great clips and supercuts and places like that were for women and fags.

Ive started going to great clips for the past few hair cuts and I like it alot. Usually I just ask for shorter and parted to the side. Since the definition of insane is doing the same thing over and over again obviously I need to make more then a few life changes so I might as well start with the easy parts first.

So I go into great clips and get a college-ish aged girl (kind of hard to tell) and just try to ask her "do whatever you think would look good" (not that blunt I don't want it to look like I'm trying to pick her up or something, I just honestly want what a woman would think looks good)

I said something like

"I have no idea what would look good, just do whatver..."

she just kind of persuaded me to describe what I usually get and I ended up showing her a picture on my student ID which is the best picture of me that has ever been taken (I think? I don't know these things)

She did it a little different then I usually get it and I kind of like but I feel like it could be better.

So where do you guys get your hair taken care of?

and women, any ideas on what you like to see with hair?
