The smash zoom on "OUCH!" is great, tied with the anchor lady's condescension at the end. 2 thumbs up, spaceboy.

I bought a copy of Word Perfect (v.7?) about 6 or 7 years ago that included a voice recognition package. The Corel voice recognition worked much better than that even back then on a 300mhz machine with 32mb of ram.

You would think they would do a trial run of the presentation before letting the camera in the room.

Honestly I am looking forward to Windows making further improvements. I could care less about MS vs Apple. All I know is that XP was a vast improvement in stability and performance over 98. If they improve on XP I will consider buying a new PC nest year. Also, Windows Mobile 5.0 is a great phone OS. Voice recognition is just a novelty anyhow.

I have a feeling Vista's going to be Windows XP all over again. Anybody who says a fresh Windows XP was more stable and secure than a fully patched Windows 98 SE machine is crazy. Of course, two service packs and a few years later XP is respectable, but look at how much time it took. Vista's going to be a mess when it's launched.

Knowing M$, they'll probably delay it for another couple of years just so they don't make a joke of themselves... again.

win98se was the shit and then they had to release winMe... sigh

Edit: that was so fucking funny! better than the pie to the face and the BSOD when they demonstrated how simple it was to connect a scanner to the new OS.

www.pokerroom.com works just fine on a Mac

This thing, which, by the way, I posted on "Check This Out.." some days ago, reminds me of an event i went to a few years ago. It was full of Mac geeks, but one of the speakers was a guy from Intel, whose laptop crashed THREE times during his presentation. He eventually got left the stage in embarassment as people shouted out the annoying "duh duh duh dum" from the adverts.

cool, at the next KATG poker event, you can not be there on a Mac! and in the vein of your example, ive seen a presentation at a convention that used a PC laptop, and it didnt crash. so i guess because if theres one example of it working, we can exclude all examples of it not. /hi5
