Xbox 360-Netflix-PARTY

With the new Xbox live experience we will be able to form player party's of up to 8 people. If that entire party all has a netflix subscription we can all watch a movie together and talk via voice chat.

I have this notion that this could be a long distance version of a "Party super party"

Or a way to pretend were all on "Mystery science theater" (a show about comedians who make fun of shitty horrible movies as they are playing)

Yeah I've had it for a couple days, but I think everyone gets it in a few days.

The whole new set up is pretty slick, The streaming netflix is money! The create your own avatar I could give or take it just seems like a knock off of the wii. But the user interface is pretty damn cool.

sometime in spring 09, they're going to be actually releasing a "movie party" thing for the system where it takes on a MST3K sort of ... something. at least, that's what they say.

they had photo party up when the beta first launched, i downloaded it, but i think they took it back down since then, which sucks cuz i want to try it out now that i have a few people with the beta on my list.

oh wells.

the netflix is bad to the ass though.

It checks your connection and streams it based on what you have. So I'm sure you'll be good.

I upgraded my internet from 1.5mbps to 6.0 motivated mostly by this xbox update for netflix. I've tried out the roku at my house and had only 2 of four qualities... fuck that. I have a nice ass TV, I want my movies to look awesome on it. I'll happily (well, kind of) pay the extra $15 a month on my internet bill
