Edited based upon hearing the latest episode.
Richard Branson (just the way how he started and ran the Virgin empire from 22 years of age to present time astounds me) Ron Paul (his economic ideas might be a little screwy, but he's the only level-headed consistent politician I've seen in a long time) Bill Gates (his foundation speaks volumes about his character) Carl Sagan (Cosmos, that's a start) Tommy Jordan (.45 + laptop = lessons learned) There are others in history with greater impacts, but I kept it at a modern level. Winston Churchill. Didn't sulk or quit after numerous failures in his early life. Recognized evil and had the guts to stand up to it while those around him wanted to appease. Saved his nation, may have saved the free world. And he had a great sense of humor.
Lady Astor: Mr. Churchill, you are drunk! Churchill: And you, madam, are ugly. But tomorrow, I shall be sober. Last edited by Pintman; 02-12-2012 at 11:04 AM. Reason: grammar |
