Keith I know you hate God, but I have to tell you that you could be missing out on a beautiful opportunity. I don't know if this is still possible for you, I'm not Catholic, but if you became a priest asap you could rise though the ranks and theoretically become pope one day.
Most of the weddings I've been to included a overweight bridesmaid. |

Fatboy Slim would look silly
"I live and thrive off hate" - Fatboy Barnett I liked this guy...almost immediately.
Also, how is it that some countries, (like Thailand for example) LOVE fat women. They praise and award it. It is a sign of prosperity. Then in 1st world nations, (like America) having extra weight is a problem. Fatboy is right though, there is nothing worse than a fat skinny person. I notice a lot of these in my age group. Beer is a motherfucker when you hit your 30's... all you thin alcoholics in your 20's, enjoy it while you can. |

That's your answer right there. It was the same way in the United States in the 19th century -- people of leisure who did not have to kill themselves performing manual labor were plump and it was a sign of prosperity. Now, having the leisure and the resources to physically train yourself is the sign of prosperity, so that body type is prized. |

I think it's more that the media portrays these people who can afford personal trainers and every muscle is toned and exposed, this, coupled with the fact that more and more people are so insanely obeise that people are either in one of two camps: extremely fat, or incredbly fit. |

Keith's Dad & Higher Callings
Keith mentioned that his dad always puts 'STL' which according to wiki, is latin abbreviation for Sacrae Theologiae Licentiatus. It's basically a theology degree that says you can teach bullshit. It's not quite as prestigeous as a STD, which is a doctorate or PhD.
Sometimes, I wonder if Keith is going to hell for not being a good Catholic. Then Keith reads crazy-ass letters from his father, (while he is in a hospital no less) ( side-note, how come these crazies always try to convert you when you're down??) and I realize that these so-called 'God-fearing' people are nothing but wildly narcissitic, insanity prone people. My mother is wildly Christian. She also talks to cats and manages to find a new stray almost weekly. Apparently, felines are easier to convert. |

And even if you can afford a gym membership you still need to be able to afford the time to go and you need to know and be able to/afford to eat right. I think in America that is even harder - I am in St Louis on a business trip right now and there are no "normal" restaurants let alone supermarkets anywhere around me. Buuuut of course I easily found loads of Fast-food, heck they even offered me Hamburgers as an afternoon snack in business class on the flight here. |

I like the skin analogy. I'm still not convinced on the 'having money=fitness.' I could be wrong. It sounds like a great sociological study. I think fit people are more educated. They look into diet and exercise.
YOu could make the arguement that poor people can only afford cheaper, sugary and salty , fatty fast foods... I always feel like lack of education is the root of most problems. Just a theory. |

June 16th, eh? Cool, we'll be anniversary buddies.
I didn't have a best man. We just open-mic'd the toasts. Luckily nobody was too trashed at that point. Also, our officiant had his fly down through the whole ceremony. May nothing worse than that happen during your nuptials. Last edited by Phaenix; 02-20-2013 at 11:37 AM. Reason: commenting before finishing the show leads to nonsensical comments. |
