Chemda, the vaccines protect against the mutations. How good depends on the mutation and the kind of vaccine. But they do at least prevent a severe case.

We are home owners for 11 years.
I never regretted it for even one day. It’s a modest 3 bedroom house, about 1300-1400 square feet with a small yard of maybe maybe 1000 square feet. The area we live in is very expensive, not NY city expensive, but maybe NY suburb expensive. This house is now about 550 000- 600 000 dollars worth. The rent would be very high for it.

It’s paid off.
That’s the best thing about it. We can’t be forced to move and we don’t pay rent or mortgage for it anymore. I really feel at home here.
Once the central heat was broken, it was about 700 dollar to change a part and it worked again.
Everything else we changed was because we wanted to renovate air change stuff, not because it was broken.

Btw we paid way less 11 years ago, the value increased so much that its doubled now.

I have turned the car around heading to a birthday party. Yes I wanted to go but if my kid is in a mood why would I subject the party with his attitude? I think they were appreciative.

It’s important to only make statements you’re able and willing to actually do.
I will never ground my son for a week, I couldn’t handle that! “ just go get the out of my face for an hour!”

but at least you're being honest with the fact that you're mad and need space whereas other parents, my parent, just gets passive aggressively mean or shuts down and just stares. I'd rather a space where she had said "i'm mad about this right now don't talk to me" and i could say "good that's fucking bullshit and I'm mad too. I'm not talking to you."

After you get your second shot it takes another two weeks for the vaccine to fully take effect. (same two weeks if you're just doing the single shot J&J)

Friday was 80 deg in NYC and holy shit were there a ton of chucklefucks without masks. Just so many. If the spring stays that warm I feel like people will say fuck it and stop doing The Things en masse because they've lost the fear. These people surely never cared about other people and so now that they feel safe or over it, they'll just go party all the time.
