Well done for having the balls to post your pics.

I would say good luck but from the way it's going, by the time your 3 months is up Keith will probably be on life support anyway, so you'll win by default.

You need Nike+ shoes, an iPod Nano, and the running kit with the sensor and receiver for the Nano. If you're already set up with that, all I need is your Nikeplus screenname or the email address you registered with, and I can add you!

I created the Challenge on the website, the people that gave me contact info already should have something in their inboxes - 'Most distance in 60 days' is what I set up, let me know if you think we should do something else or in addition.

Do you really need the shoes or can you just get the kit? I've seen the kit for sale in a vending machine. I don't like Nike running shoes much. That's one reason why I haven't looked much into this system. That and I don't have a nano, but that's an easy fix.

Running shoes are soooo specific to individual needs -- I have never been able to wear Nike shoes. I wish there was a way to participate without the Nike products but I understand the ease & convenience of having it all at your fingertips.

You don't need Nike shoes, just some self adhesive velcro. Cut a 4 1/2 inch strip of the fuzzy velcro side, peel off 1" of the backing and stick that to the red side of the Nike+. Then cut 1" of the stiff velcro, peel off the backing of that and an inch at the other end of the fuzzy and stick together.

Then thread the through your laces...

wrap around and stick the velcro pieces together.

Thank you for clarifying this. I never seriously considered the iPod running thingy because I hate Nike shoes -- it would be sweet to just velcro it to my regular running shoes.

After checking the Apple website, I am confused (again). Am I correct that it only works with a Nano? I've got a regular iPod and an older mini but not a Nano specifically. Doesn't it seem odd that it would only work with a Nano?
