His show at le poisson rouge is pretty good to. Saw it last week w/guillia rossi, pat dixon and mike drucker (to name a few) in the lineup. Looking forward to the next one

Of course, this is not to say that it's widespread in the US, but there have been instances in which corrupt police abuse their authority for their own gain. Seems to happen a lot in Texas, actually:

Cops in this small town routinely seized property from black folks just driving through

And now I can't find a link but I remember another story (I believe out of Texas) where a warden was getting federal funding to feed the prisoners but feeding them like 600 calories a day and pocketing the leftover funds. I think he was the same guy who had the chain gangs and pink uniforms to humiliate the inmates.

But anyway, corruption amongst authority figures is definitely going on here in the US, too.

I voted the teacher was more to blame than the student. The teacher is supposed to set an example; if he offers an A grade for eating a fly and a student takes him up on it that's the teacher's fault. The student is probably a dumbass and knew that was his only chance for an A so why not? Either way the teacher is a retard; and I'm sure the student isn't the prize cow at the fair either.

FYI not going to lie - if a professor of mine offered me an A in a project to eat a fly, and it meant I didn't have to put in the weeks of work then hell yes, I'll eat a fly. Just pass the salt please?
