I remember my first two real fights. Both of these tie in with Keith's bullying theory. Let me preface this with the face that I'm tiny. I'm 120 lb and I'm 5'10". I have next to no muscle on my arms, and I can barely bench 110 lb.
The summer before my freshman year of high school, these two guys robbed me as I was coming home from the grocery store. I didn't know them at all, I had never seen them before in my life. So this guy pulled a knife on me, so obviously being unarmed and much smaller than them, I gave them my money and the shit I bought. I felt, as almost every other guy would feel, like a pussy, and if only I could've double punched them in the throat and twisted that knife out of their hand I could've saved my pride. After that year started, I found out that they were in the same school as me, and worse yet, were in the same lunch period as me. They already knew me, and knew that I'd be a pushover. I was. Who the fuck did I think I was? They had knives. So the smacking and pushing around went on for a while, probably about two or three months, and I finally snapped. They cornered me in a stairwell after lunch, and started pushing me around. I got pissed and told him to fuck off, and pushed him into one of the walls. He pushed me back, and I punched him in the face. I will always remember that feeling of satisfaction. Him nose started bleeding and everything. So I punched him in the gut this time, and as he bent over, I pushed him down the stairs. The other guy came at me (he was extremely fat) and tried to him me. Instead he hit the wall. I pushed him towards the stairs, but he didn't fall on account of my being puny next to him. At that point, a teacher came by the stairwell and saw the guy bleeding on the ground, and yelled something, so I hightailed it out of there. As Keith said on some other show a long time ago, just punch them and they'll leave you alone. Not only did I not see them again, whenever I saw him in the hall, he avoided my eyes. For someone like me, that's one of the best feelings in the world.
My second fight went on in gym class. I'm that nerdy kid who really isn't good at any spots, so naturally I was the target of a bunch of catcalls. My name has cum in it, and mal is the prefix for bad, so they always called me bad cum. It wasn't that annoying, but it's just something that you can't let go. We were playing some stupid game indoors, I can't remember what it was. This guy was getting really into the game, and started shoving people and tackling people. Everyone was pissed at him. So at one point he tackled me into a wall, and I pushed him to the ground telling him to stop being a dick. The gym teacher heard me, and told me to watch my language, and didn't believe me when I told him what the kid was doing. I think he was on the football team or something. So, for the next couple months he did exactly what the other guys did; smacking me, pushing me, tripping me, whatever could piss you off. So again, one day I snapped. We were all going outside to play flag football, and he came up behind me and smacked me in the face. He'd never done that to me before. It was probably the most insulting thing he'd done to me. So I chased after him and tackled him to the ground. We both got up, and he was laughing, and a bunch of his friends were too. So, I was still very pissed off, and vented my anger on his face. I punched him twice in the jaw, and once in the temple. The first two gave him a bloody lip and dislocated his jay, and the punch to his temple knocked him cold. All of the teachers saw it, so naturally I was suspended and put in anger management. The day I got back, all of the people who did the catcalls, and even some of my friends high-fived me, telling me that was awesome. I told them to go fuck themselves, and things eventually went back to normal, minus people making fun of me. That was all fine and dandy for that year, but this last year people kind of forgot, and made fun of me some more. What makes me happy, was that all I had to do to make them shut up was faking like I was going to punch them in the face. It worked like a charm.
I think this nicely proves Keith's point, that all you have to do is punch the bitch in the face in, and they'll leave you alone.
