Well, to be fair, the Constitution was written based on English common law which had its basis in the Magna Carta.

I knew someone would bring that up. But the Magna Carta was signed several hundred years before America even existed. Can we admit that it would be extremely unfair to ask questions about it?

When was the Emancipation Proclamation signed? The Declaration of Independence? What are the three branches of the US government?

These are much more valid questions. Question immigrants on the street with those.

My main point was to tease Keith for suggesting that immigrants don't know enough about US history to stay here and then bringing up something that didn't happen in America. I just found it humorous.
