It was advertised as not being like GTA so I'm not surprised at Keith's reaction. I love film noirs like Chinatown, L.A. Confidential, and Memento so this was right down my alley. Bought the game first day and I don't regret it one bit.

Honestly I get bored with shooting random pedestrians and fucking other people's cars after 10 minutes. Even in Red Dead Redemption (which I loved) I didn't break the law too much and stuck to following the story.

honestly i was disappointed at GTA IV not being as everyone told me. three seconds afetr i shot a random person, i got cops on my back.

the only game where i could really be an ass was Saints Row 2.

Yeah, cops were incredibly annoying in that game. Also, GTA IV was too easy and the missions were too similar.

i cant stand the driving though. i might have got better at it, but i hated it back then. much better in Mafia 2 (whom ti thought LA noire was a clone of).

weirdly enough the horse race in red dead didnt bother me. i handled the horse better than GTA's cars

Saints Row 2 was such a great game! Most playable game of that entire sandbox gang/thug RPG genre. That and 'Bully,' which was also a Rockstar game.

I never completed Saints Row 2 because I just couldn't stop running around throwing people - one of the funniest moves I have ever seen in a video game.

Hoping for more of that with Saints Row 3. My favourite Sandbox game Just Cause 2. And since I'm sounding like big geek I may aswell go all out - I believe L.A Noire was made by Team Bondi in conjunction with Rockstar Games so lots of people probably only saw the Rockstar name and assumed it would be a GTA/Read Dead style game.

Playing through L.A. Noire now, I think it's pretty great. Some of the interrogations are giving me fits but I'm having fun anyway and it looks incredible. Then I have "noir" in my Xbox gamertag so I might have been predisposed to like it.

Was it the sepia?

Sepia is a depressing filter.
