The Rose with Thorns is a metaphor for even good things have things that can hurt you. So, as I heard it (and yes, a shitty explanation of it), the good thing was that the band was taking off but the dab thing (the thorn) was it affected his personal relationship.


On the Guinness thing (and I didn't read yesterday's thread to see if this was discussed so appologies for that (yes I could take the time if I had it but fuck me)), did you contact them before or after the marathons? If it was before, its dumb they didn't take it on. If it was after, that seems to be the way Guinness do it and to make sure things are legit they normally need some sort of official observer for feats like this or eating a hot dogs or whatever.

Just saying. Plus whether your in Guinness or not, we know who holds the record!

As a relatively new fan, this is one of the first podcasts I've heard without a guest. I figured it would be interesting but maybe not as funny. But truly, it was one of the best so far. I was cracking up so much in my car that I was getting funny looks at red lights.

The looks at red lights were likely due to how you look, as opposed to what you're listening to.

But i agree. this was a fucking great podcast.

Chemmo raised a point that ive' been thinkign about lately. These guys are fucking quick - but this stems from them being professionals. Other podcasts are now sounding sloppy and fucked, and i'm judging them more harshly...

I too only hike only through Kroger or Walmart. Here in ATL my friends walk or run trails for exercise but I don't know anyone that hikes. I promise not to play the race card but I'm thinking it.
