Who took guest photos in show notes? They turned out really well. Also dig seeing the KATG art/whatnot in the studio hallways.
Nicely done. Ray DeVito looks like Graham Elwood's goofy twin brother ![]() |

I've been watching football (soccer) in England since 1982. I've travelled the entire country watching over 1000 games, even though we do have plenty of other sports to choose from; cricket, rugby, tennis, snooker, motor racing. Only now, having listened to Lenny Marcus and Keith give their views on football, have I realised how shit it is.

I have a feeling I may have passed out drunk toward the end, but what a great show this was. There were so many cams in chat I had to make a second account. Congrats again Keith and Chemda, and thanks to the guests and the fans who make Keith and the Girl such a great experience. L'chaim!

Of all the times that I've been called out on the show over the years, this one perhaps made me laugh the hardest... Yes, I hit 'Maybe' on the KATG 2000th show event.
I was on deadline, and I live in Italy. The event, when it was posted, didn't seem to have a specific time listed and I was finishing a project. So I didn't know if I could make it... The problem is that Facebook's system sucks. If you hit 'Not Going' it disappears from your calendar. What this means is, in personal experience, people hit 'Yes' to keep it visible. Then you expect people to turn up and they don't. Ever since people started using FB events, I noticed you had to assume the number was hugely inflated. Sometimes because people suck and say 'yes' and don't turn up. Sometimes because they want to keep it open. I don't want to be either of those people, so I hit maybe when it's a maybe. However, Keith likes apologies more than I like being right, so let's call it a win for him - I'm sorry for the hours of uncertainty you had over my attendance. I hope you didn't prepare an extra plate for me. Seriously though guys, thank you for everything. I don't even remember which number episode you were up to, but I can tell you it was somewhere between 100 and 150 when I started listening. It was about 6 months after I got my iPod (19th birthday), when I migrated from Dawn and Drew (who I now can't imagine listening to... but Podcasts were thin on the ground back then) to KATG. I never looked back. It was one of those inch-thick, clickwheel chunky iPods and I listened in real time. Needless to say, you're enough a part of my life that I can take a little ribbing for my FB etiquette. Here in Italy, I still follow daily, and I'm on VIP too because I figure I owe you guys for 9 years of content. A few years back, a friend of mine told me he listens as well. He started after you were broken up but before you announced it. For him, the experience had shifted as he started second guessing. For me, it was like Daddy and Mommy getting a divorce. I'm not so frequent on the forums, but I am still here and still listening, even if I don't confirm it on FB ![]()

Congrats on 2000 episodes!!! I absolutely loved that you went marathon-style on this one.
I've been a listener since the 800's, just in time for the wedding episode (awkwaaaard!). I have listened to A LOT of podcasts since around 2007, many gave up, many turned dull or pedantic, KATG managed to evolve while remaining the same. It's a gift, you guys. So thank you for hours of entertainment. Thank you for being there while I was on bed rest due to a high risk pregnancy, during the endless nights while I fed my baby, sleep deprived and trying to maintain some kind of sanity. Thank you for your work, it is deeply appreciated. |
