I don't mind cargo shorts on men in the summer.
My husband wears them on vacation for hiking for example and I'm glad he has good pockets with a zipper for the car key. Men, don't buy into that cargo hate. |

My first job was at a movie theater. I graduated from concession to usher, and one of the first times I found money on the ground, I turned it in to the managers office, but not before casually telling one of the seasoned ushers. The manager informed me that if in a few days no one claimed it,I would get it. My fellow usher, called a friend, told them the specific amount ($126) and had him claim it like it was his. When I bitched him out about it, he handed me a $20 and called me a sucker.

dumb question, if you buy a metro card with a credit card, isn't it then able to be linked to whoever purchased it. i know MTA doesn't have it's shit together enough to do this for wallet theft, but theoretically, someone could use a stolen metro card as evidence.
i just learned a lot about metro cards when contesting a fair evasion ticket i was (eroniously) given. successfully contested the 100 dollar fine! |

When I worked at a theater, we were told we could keep whatever cash we found but we had to turn in wallets and cellphones and stuff like that.
Some lucky high schooler got a come-up. |

they called the backpack thing flip mode in my school. They'd be staring at the guy just waiting for him to realize what had been done so they could scream FLIP MODE! Gave everyone a laugh. I'd hardly call it bullying

Similar to the topic of single-gender school, you have the same thing with scouting. I have conflicting thoughts about it regarding Boy Scouts. There are many that bugs that the Boy Scouts are old fashion or down right backwards on. But when it comes to allowing girls in it, there are some real cons.
The social dynamics would dramatically change if a girl was around, not in the best of ways. Frequently you would have a sister of scout hang out around the meetings. I couldn't help but wonder if it was for the attention. On the flip side, it is nice to be able to interact with girls on a normal level instead of having it all ramped up like it was when a girl was present in Scouts. I feel like the segregation only amped it. In my coed actives outside of Scouts, it there was only a 50% chance the boys and girls could act normal with each other. It all depended on who was there. Long story short, fucking teenager social dynamics suck. |
