We have those graphic cigarrete labels too up here. Some guy was printing then selling labels that can stick to the boxes saying stuff like "Smoking is Sexy" and "Noone Likes You if you don't Smoke"

I'll try to find pics of them.

The premise of "Thank You For Smoking" is that a Vermont senator (William H. Macy) is trying to pass legislation that would require tobacco companies to make the warning on cigarette packs take up half of the pack. The warning was this gory skull and crossbones with POISON written underneath. I thought it was preposterous until I saw some of those European packs. Now it seems like something that could actually happen.

The movie, by the way, was the funniest thing I've seen in a year, Katie Holmes's performance notwithstanding (she's fucking unwatchable.)

What Chemda was saying about her Dad getting the urge to smoke when the anti-smoking shit comes on reminds me of when Supersize Me came out and that dude was in radio interviews all over the place and every time I heard him I agreed with him but I wanted Maccas real bad.
