Looks like there will be a movement to dismiss the homicide and endangerment charges since prosecutions witnesses have established the defenses self defense case pretty clearly. All the stuff about the fires, the chasing the kid, kicking him in the head, rushing him and pointing a handgun to his face, etc all seem to be true. He didn't cross state lines with a gun...etc.

Seems the only thing that may catch him a charge is open carrying at 17 when he needs to be 18. So a misdemeanor.

Which unless completely hypocritical the guy who got shot in the bicep while aiming a glock at the kids face, point blank, should also catch firearms related charges for a concealed weapon w/ an expired permit.

The whole incident is a horrible tragedy but feel it's important to see the facts and retrospectively weigh them against how it was reported, presented and discussed so hopefully the manipulation can be seen for what it was and maybe better arm ourselves against these tricks next time.

Point of clarification however - Difference I see JFOD News projects/hypothesizes about what could or may be happening during and before. What I believe is pertinent here is the retrospective of trying to understand and learn from after the fact where we know we have been lied to rather than wild speculation on who could/may/probably be lying at us.
