He probably meant пани (pani) which is Polish/Latvian/Belorussian/Ukrainian for the Lady as in married to the landowner or just older female in upper-upper class. But now are equivalent to Mrs. No one would ever refer as Pan to a clergyman or his family. Moreso for the last 100 years it was beaten out of them and replaced by "comrade" via Soviet occupation in the 20th century. I can see how someone would think landwoner=prince on the same level as calling someone casually Sir means you were actually knighted by the fucking Queen. or when you use Mr. it literally means you own a tuxedo monocle and a top hat.
My guess is Keith's Family fleed Poland/Ukraine because of some type of wealth and that piece of information mutated into royalty. Also explains zero info on family history.

Ksiądz- priest in polish
Książę-prince in polish Interesting that the words start with the same letters in both languages. But that doesn't mean they they have a similar meaning. Keith's grandfather was probably drunk when he saw them. Further examples: Brother isnt the same as brothel. A fella doesn't necessarily do fallatio. Someone named Killian doesn't necessarily kill people. |
