Verizon came to our house with a new phone that somehow had all the old information on it and made us dinner.

The thing about the study is not really the results, it’s that a lot of people will use this as a way to justify racial profiling, or other such things. Basically now every time I go out, I shouldn’t complain about getting harassed by a police officer because in their eyes there is a higher chance that I’m up to some shit.
Also what was the % of people who didn’t even bother to do anything with the wallet… or would that just be used to prove which group is more lazy. And what about the fact that it’s a lost wallet, yet they imply theft? It is an interesting study, and I would like to see it done on a much larger scale. But as it stands it does assume a lot. Also if I every see Keith on the street, and want to say hi and tell him I love the pod cast. Should I first say “I’m not going to rob you” to put him at ease?

i saw three car accidents today driving to and from work. On the way home it was slow and awful sitting in traffic, but it made my day a little brighter to look at the accidents and think of the joy Keith would find in it. The third one was a 5 car accident on the expressway, he woulda loved it!

Re: the AA misinformation at the beginning of the show from a listener: nowhere in AA is there a policy of "only hang out with other AAs". For nine years sober I have worked with normies, heavy drinkers, functioning alcoholics, alanons, untreated alanons. I don't judge them. I don't try to recruit them. I enjoy their company. I work around drinkers all the time and have no problems. We're not Scientologists. We're not a cult. Being sober allows me a chance to enjoy shit I missed out on before, including enjoying brilliantly creative people like Keith and Chemda. I can't or wouldn't judge or diagnose Keith. That's not our job. I'm breaking my own anonymity here to counter the dis on "AA philosophy". It's saved my life, I can leave anytime I want, and it's free. Name another cult that says that...
