Dear God it was painful having to be exposed to that FreeTalk shit. I don't even agree with Deuce and I like hearing people talk about political theory in general but those FTL fuckwits are abysmal. And like Keith said, as soon as somebody proposes zero government in any serious political debate they bury their own credibility, go stick that idealist bullshit up your pipe.

As for The Gunner, apart from going overboard with the angry-young-man crap about beating people up he was a great guest, I hope we hear a lot more from him and I hope very much that he comes back without any bad scars.

Free Talk Live was painfull to listen to, but having KATG interupting it frequently and making comments made it more bareable.
Ian is so annoying. I agreed with Ian on the arguement about forcing people into the military, but he is just so much of an ass that I was cheering for deuce the whole time anyway.

I know! Why cant people just be respectful of other people's opinions? Keith is always respectful of people's opinion that I was just SHOCKED when I heard someone being an ass to someone else with a differing view!!!!

thought they called them interns

I said Ian IS an ass. Not Ian was being an ass to deuce. It's slightly different sentence, but it changes the intent. Normal decent people can be asses to certain people sometimes, Ian just seems like an ass, plain and simple.

no there are overheads and it devalues the work of the professionals who do those jobs now, you might as well have conscripted waiters...

McDonalds serves people shitty food at a low cost. Poor people can afford McDonalds but not hospitals.
I'm not sure which one is worse. Being poor and screwed out of money by hospitals with horrible service, or being poor and being screwed by getting low quality food at McDonalds. At least at McDonalds you can order off of the dollar menu.
not everywhere...

Socialism in terms of the provision of social services works excellently. 'Socialism' is an umbrella term which describes a vast array of political and economic doctrines. You're thinking of communism I think, which is not the same thing - one is a subset of the other.

Norway is a good example of a modern socialist state; Norway is ranked the number one country in the world for standard of living, education and health care (UNDP).
