I'm a pretty new listener and I must say I'm hooked.
I like the idea of "Keith's Justice" but have been thinking about it, and is there an opposite to one strike and you're dead. What if someone does something really good natured (being philanthropic or diving in front of a bus to save a child)? Should that person be doubly rewarded by society? Say I find the cure for cancer. I know in today's society I would be handsomely rewarded for this accomplishment. But I feel like I should get something even more in return. Something that I would want, like being double teamed by Jenna Jameson and Tera Patrick while using a butt plug... Thoughts? |

No. Of course he doesn't. What's his defense? He could have changed his mind five minutes later. We'll never know. Why are you in such a hurry to kill everybody? If everyone's dead, where are you gonna buy your weed, Pothead? |

Let's say they didn't do anything illegal to be able to blackmail. THEY'RE blackmailing. THEY'RE doing the crime. They didn't ask someone ELSE to blackmail for them.

That story about the guy getting hit by a car and no one calling the police isn't really as horrible as the police guy in the article was talking about. That kind of stuff isn't that uncommon, cause people don't really like to go out of their way to help people in situations like this. Something like this happened a while ago where some lady was murdered over the course of like half an hour while she was outside her apartment building yelling for help, and none of the sixty something people that heard her helped.

i read once about a thing called "Genovese syndrome" (The Bystander effect). A psychological phenomenon in which someone is less likely to intervene in an emergency situation when other people are present. It is named after Kitty Genovese, a NY woman who was stalked, stabbed, raped over 30 minutes period while her neighbors witnessed. One man, supposedly, turned up his radio so that he would not hear her screams.
i suppose they thought someone may have called but someone could of stood there to redirect cars around the guy. i have seen a few accidents in London and seen that people are helping and gone on my way, i can not help anyone by just gawking at them.
