To avoid spammers, you can also buy a domain name that contains "nospam", like katgnospam.com. It would have the same effects than abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwx yzabcdefghijk.com : 1) your friends delete the "nospam" part and the E-Mail never reaches you, 2) the spamming bots discard the E-Mail address or delete the "nospam" part, 3) you have a shitty E-Mail address, 4) if you really want to not be able to fill up forms, you can still put abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwx yz before @katgnospam.com.

Their are some new solutions coming down the pipe that will help aid in removing/eliminating spam. The software will be a front end to control the actual IP traffic that comes in as e-mail. No one probably cares but that is the next level that spam control will go to.

So you're going to have to get the spam first, acknowledge it as spam, and then block that IP? I started doing that with my blog but they just change IPs once it's been blocked. Annoying as hell.

Well, if you get more information, I'd be willing to try anything. As of right now I get between 20 and 50 spam emails a day.
