No, but I did spend a number of hours in handcuffs once (and I don't mean for fun). Not comfortable.

I was arrested when I was 16, but they let me go home. They didn't take us to the clink.

Cuffed and detained, yes. Locked up, no. Tied up with various scarves and things, yes.

I was locked in a room in college once as part of a prank. Most people don't realize how easy it is to kick through drywall and how little somebody who was just locked in a room will care if you lose your security deposit.

I got picked up for shoplifting when I was 15 and spent 3 hours in the holding cells. A couple of drunks were also in but I got my own cell.

Had to spend 16 days in county for a DUI charge about 5 years ago. They referred to me as a short timer even though it was more than two weeks!

Oh yeah, I did get detained another time by police for firecrackers because Virginia is teh suck. The detaining was immediately proceeded by a fat cop slipping off a huge fallen tree trunk right onto the ground on his back. Intensely worth it.
