That's similar to the industrial cutting/marking laser I use at my job. When we're messing about we make keychains with logos on them, I've made various plaques for friends. What types of material can you work with (gage, size, etc.)? If it can cut as well as engrave the sky is pretty much the limit. I've been kicking around the idea of a dinosaur skeleton kit like they make from balsa wood and using it as the base for a glass coffee table. How many watts is your laser mine is 3000. booyah.

It's a 50 watt laser. It can cut wood and plastic and engrave both of those plus some metals. Think of it as a big ink jet printer but instead of ink, it's a laser beam. I've already made a few things like an ipad stand. I just need some ideas for things I could supplement the stores income through eBay with, rather than just wait for someone to walk in the door.

are you able to cut stone.. quartz's, marble, (both hard) or softer stones sillanite, flourite. some are able to have holes drilled into the bottom placed on wood base and turned into (night) lights. logo's, personalized, or natural scene. when i use to go to the tucson gem and mineral show, i think i use to see stuff like that. stones with names (person or bussiness) symbols, etc... i 'll try to think of more ideas... are you able to cut borosillicate glass or sodalime glass. i can send you samples of all of the above to try.
