Creative 10GB PoS
4th gen iPod 40 GB (this was replaced 3x by warranty and Apple Care)
5.5th gen iPod 30 GB (still using)
8 GB iPhone 3G (still using)

I don't like the idea of draining my phones battery listening to podcasts and such.

One was a first gen my employer got me when I got cancer and was doing chemo (40GB). The second was a 2GB nano I won at a security conference for answering a question among the audience.

I've used my ipods less than probably 72 hours comblined in six years.

3rd Gen 15gb - Sold, but this has been the best iPod I've owned
5th Gen 60gb?- Sold
1st Gen Nano 5gb - Gave to parents
4th Gen Nano 8gb - still using
1st Gen Shuffle 512mb - still have
2nd Gen Shuffle 2gb - Fried in the dryer

I'll be picking up an iPod Touch on Wednesday, either the latest rev. or a refurb of the old rev.

You hit play, you hear KATG. How much better does your player have to be?

I'm on my 2nd MP3 player.
1. Archos Jukebox Recorder v2 (http://www.archos.com/support/downlo..._2_v11_web.pdf). Came with a 20GB drive that I later upgraded to 60GB. I don't remember why I replaced it.
2. Wolverine ESP 5080 (ESP - 80GB Digital Photo Album and Multimedia Player: Wolverine Data). It's got an 80GB drive. I figured I'd upgrade the drive after the warranty expired, but I've only got 42GB of stuff on the drive, so why bother? A month or two after I got it, my cat knocked it off the counter and smashed it, but Wolverine made it like new again.

CD MP3 player was too bulky, not pocketable at all

Rio sucked balls

Shuffle was easy to use and load fresh stuff, but did podcasts poorly.

Hard drive units did podcasts well and held a ton, but were kinda heavy for active stuff, and skip on occasion

Nano was perfect, but kinda low capacity.

Second nano held more than the first, and had a few fun games

Touch has video games, wifi browser, remote for VLC player for watching movies on my TV through the computer, keeps my address book and calendar.

They are sooo much more than a play button. the next one will have the power of pics, video, VOIP telephone, and speed.

Any more questions?
