I made a Keith and The Girl Desktop App, it's cross platform so Windows/Mac.. Linux is not officially supported, although it should work more or less.
It uses AIR(Adobe Integrated Runtime) which is basically the flash browser plugin for actual programs, anyway AIR will be installed automatically if you don't have it.

The feature list and change log are there too but I'll post the latest changes at the end of this thread after updates.
NEWS: v1.6.3 is out [April 25].

What's it for?
The goal is to make it really easy to get the shows, feed, and interact with the community without having to deal with itunes, rss, or anything complicated, and have it all in one place.

Get the latest from Talk Shite and Twitter, Get all the episodes; including Backstage, TV, and Extras, Countdown to the next live show, Automatically tune in or launch the chat when the feed comes on. Use the chat, Forums, All Episodes, and more.

Some code is based on the widget, uses TheGrundle's data feeds, and has some of Rellek's art work from the widget.

yeah it tells you when a live show is going to happen and what the latest episode will be.

oh ya i know about the widget, i ported it to facebook... it sort of has the widget built in.. plus other stuff... deets coming soon.

I set up an xml file for the upcoming iphone app that contains all the info for an episode; guests, images, etc. It you want to use it feel free. It is pretty self explanatory.

oh man! you came through again, that's great.. I wanted to do something like that but took the easy route and just embedded a browser in the app pointing to all episodes... definitely something for the next version.

Ho snap this is pretty slick. Nice that it's in AIR as well so it's multiplatform. Built in player and Twitter and everything! Good work, dude, though the Live Video link doesn't seem to work at the moment.

An update to the Widget so that it integrates this would be neat. At least a button on the Widget that would launch and/or install this.

Also for wary people: I virus scanned the install folder and it looks clean

Nice work, fellah. The visual aspect of it is so-so, but other than that, once you fix the bugs, it should be great.

PS. maybe you should make it "beta," for now, instead of version 1.

i'm not attached to the current visual style at all.. especially the rounded corners... if anyone with more artistic ability than me(that's anyone) wants to upload/send me a redesign, theme, artwork to make it look better that would be awesome... maybe in the future I'll put in a theme changer.

Some immediate changes/fixes i'm working on:
- ability to save preferences..(right now you have to tell it to auto tune in to the feed every time you open it) maybe a preference window...
- option to disable all the alerts.
- the bugs
